Staying at Appleby Castle was like stepping back in time. The stunning Clifford Room with its four-poster bed was a highlight, and the memorable dinner served in the grand dining room was truly special.

Unique experience staying in a medieval castle. Our room had a private bathroom, comfy beds, and tons of period charm. We loved exploring the beautiful grounds and the games room was fun for the kids. Breakfast was tasty as well. Staff were super friendly and attentive, making everything easy and enjoyable.

the parking was limited and we had to park quite far from the entrance. also, some of the interiors felt a bit worn and could use a little sprucing up.

The castle is everything you would expect from a historic building, including all its little idiosyncrasies, however that made it fun. The kids loved it, they called it 'Spooky Castle' and ran riot having fun with the hanging armor and giant portraits. It was a real adventure.

The only downside was that the parking was a bit tricky to find at night, but overall, it was a fantastic experience! 😊

My stay in the Evidence 4-Poster Room was magical! The claw foot bathtub was amazing, and the brilliantly carved furniture added to the charm. Cabaret-style dining with other guests was an unexpected delight.
